Qualcomm on Thursday announced in the official blog, has launched a project called Qualcomm "fast charging 1.0" technology, mobile devices can charge 40% faster.

The Qualcomm chief marketing officer Anand Chandrasekher talked about the technology on the last week HTC Frequencies activities. The technology from Summit Microelectronics, Qualcomm acquired in June last year, the company can significantly shorten the charging time for mobile devices.

Qualcomm said that if a device previous charge takes four hours, and then "fast charging 1.0" technology, the charging time will be shortened to three hours or less. Currently, there are more than 70 models using Qualcomm Snapdragon processor device supports "fast charging 1.0" technology, including HTC Droid DNA, the Samsung Galaxy S III Nokia Lumia 920, Asus Padfone and LG Nexus 4.
